In the heart of the Sierra Maestra, this cozy facility is built, from which you can access the towns of Maffo and Cruce de los Baños, representatives of the rural way of life of eastern Cuba. You can also enjoy a swim in the waterfall, participate in hiking trails between fruit trees and coffee plantations and perform bird watching. As a complement, a typical Cuban meal is tasted, and optionally, horse rides are carried out, accompanied by specialized guides.
The villa has multiple possibilities to enjoy nature. Its name is due to the 34-meter jump that falls into three refreshing pots, ideal for relaxing baths. Villa El Saltón, was founded on August 13, 1991, as a tribute to the birthday of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz whose idea came from Commander Juan Almeida Bosque, as a result of his extensive knowledge of the beauties of our Sierra Maestra in his day of guerrilla.
